Combining her experiences of growing up in the English countryside and her time in California, Maisy has built an extensive body of work that displays her true range as an artist. Maisy has been honing her skills as a musician and vocalist since she was a young girl and has caught all the right ears, from working with Lukas “LULOU” Loules, f/k/a Lukas Hilbert (Max Martin’s close collaborator), and the legendary Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, to a co-write with Billy Idol on her first BMG (Worldwide) release late last year, “Mascara Tears” to collabs with the likes of Timbaland and Desmond Child.
While her music is 100% Maisy, it also transports the listener into her unparalleled world, a musical space filled with influences varying from legendary artists to her own inner sound. Her single, “Distance”, peaked at #1 on the Spotify viral charts in the world’s second largest music market of Japan, showing her range as a truly international artist. While clearly an accomplished up-and-coming artist on her own, Maisy thrives in collaboration with peers such as TheFatRat, with her-self written single, “The Storm”, impacting the top 10 of several charts worldwide and generating in excess of 12.6 million streams on Spotify and well over 100 million views on YouTube.

Maisy Kay is a bold and fascinating new voice in pop music, with a radiant and emotive voice bathed in the neon glow of synth-pop and the nocturnal vibes of R&B alike. The UK-born and Los Angeles-based artist took to music from a very young age: “I always loved singing,” she recalls. “My mom has little recordings of me trying to sing before I could even talk—I’d be trying to sing ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ but it’d just come out as gibberish.” But the spark to become a performer and artist took place after a pivotal experience seeing the musical Phantom of the Opera at the age of seven: “That was the defining moment in which I realized I wanted to be a singer for sure.” Maisy’s first big break came with contributing lyrics and vocals to Japanese pop artist Anly’s 2017 smash “Distance,” a soaring single that eventually peaked at #1 on Japan’s Spotify viral charts. Then there’s the beguiling “The Storm” from last year, a collaboration with gaming music don TheFatRat that’s racked up over 100 million cumulative YouTube views across different channels. Maisy initially linked up with TheFatRat because of her passion for the Na’vi language—which was created specifically for James Cameron’s blockbuster film franchise Avatar.
