UGLY project 001
Ugly was started by two friends, Dustin & Luis. Before becoming what people see it now to be, ugly, was a sarcastic insult to ourselves. To be honest, very far from a clothing brand, It was instead an idea. A perspective, as it states in our about section on our website, “in a world full of opinions and criticism, we embrace it all. it's said that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. the beauty in ugly is precisely that, the irony. recognizing that everything is perfect and beautiful because it can be.” It was clear to us both how many differentiating opinions there are in the world, about everything. With fashion being right at the top of what we both love most, we decided to start creating clothing designs. ugly now sort of gives an ironic spin to everything. Of course, nobody wants to be a part of something “ugly”, but whose to say anything is ugly. We leave the interpretation to the owner(s). That specifically, is the essence of what we looked to create. - Luis & Dustin
